The Value of a Single Source and On-Hand Inventory

Sourcing from a single, reliable manufacturer, such as US Bellows, offers a significant advantage. It ensures consistency in quality, engineering, and manufacturing standards across your entire project. This simplifies procurement, reduces lead times, and guarantees that the bellows you receive will integrate seamlessly into your system. For large orders, US Bellows works with our customers to get the fastest lead time possible.

In successful piping operations, keeping a stock of bellows on hand is a proactive measure that can prevent costly downtime. It provides an immediate solution for unexpected failures or maintenance needs, and ensures that your operations can continue without interruption. Our stock bellows are available in diameters from 2″ to 24″ and three pressure values (85, 150, and 300 PSIG). They can also be customized for any diameter and pressure rating, making them an essential component for any industrial piping operation.

Stock Bellows For Popular Expansion Joint Types

Expansion joints are crucial for accommodating movement and stress in piping systems. Here are four common types we have stock bellows for, and can quickly assemble and ship:

  • Single Expansion Joint: The most basic form, a single joint consists of a single bellows element designed to absorb axial movement (compression and extension) in a straight run of pipe.
  • Universal Expansion Joint: This joint uses two bellows separated by a central pipe. This configuration allows it to absorb a combination of movements, including axial, lateral, and angular deflection, making it highly versatile for complex piping layouts.
  • Elbow Pressure Balanced Expansion Joint: Used in systems with a change of direction, this joint is designed to balance the pressure thrust force that is generated by the bellows and piping system. By incorporating a balancing bellows, it prevents this force from being transferred to sensitive equipment or anchors.
  • In-line Pressure Balanced Expansion Joint: Similar to the elbow type, this joint is used in a straight run of pipe. It balances the pressure thrust force by using a set of balancing bellows, eliminating the need for large, main anchors and allowing for the use of smaller, less expensive intermediate anchors.
