Overview
Externally pressurized pipe expansion joints, also known as X-Flex bellows expansion joints, are engineered for piping systems that require large axial compression or extension. Unlike conventional designs, the bellows elements in X-Flex joints are arranged in such a way so that the media is in contact with the external surface of the bellows, eliminating pressure instability (column squirm) as a design limitation.
